Equity work is an essential part of my practice and my life. This includes doing my own ongoing racial identity development work and examination of internalized white supremacy and how this is deeply embedded in my engagement with relationships and systems. This includes a commitment toward reparations and wealth redistribution as a white-bodied private practitioner. I take a percentage of my monthly practice earnings and support the National Queer & Trans Therapists of Color Network which is a healing justice organization that actively works to transform mental health for queer and trans people of color in North America. Feel free to explore the National Queer & Trans Therapists of Color Network here: https://nqttcn.com/en/

It is for this reason that I do not offer a sliding scale fee structure within my private practice.

I also intend to maintain a portion of my practice for interstate clients who do not have access in their home state for queer affirming therapy. Iā€™m eagerly awaiting the Interstate Counseling Compact that will allow professional counselors licensed and residing in a compact member state to practice in other compact member states without need for multiple licenses. There are currently 29 participating states and this will go into effect in 2024.
